Working with Adams Design, we helped create a simple but elegant vehicle for selling hats. Since we wear many hats ourselves–design, programming, illustration, video–we also created a “light box” camera rig to achieve consistent results when photographing the hats.

Django is a “web framework” that uses the Python programming language. Django allows us to program custom behavior quickly and easily. One of Django’s many strengths is that it automatically generates a complete admin interface for managing the data behind the site. For the Gaila Fund, we used Django to manage the inventory of hats and the related pictures. Gaila Fund staff has full control to add new hats, and upload images, which are automatically resized to the correct proportions.
